Gentian acquired the retail head leases within the main entrance of the new PFI-built Whiston Hospital, as part of a package also involving St Helens hospital, which is within the same NHS Trust.
What we did
The new main entrance consists of four retail units of which Gentian acquired the underlease on, direct from Project Co.
Gentian in turn granted sub-underleases to Compass on three units to trade as Costa and the final one to WHSmith.
Gentian’s in-house estates team manages the retailers' occupation including collecting the rents and service charges; taking all financial and operational risks associated with the space.
