Gentian secures final tenant for Winchester development at Moorside Road

March 28, 2025

Gentian is pleased to announce that its carbon-neutral commercial building, Block A, on Moorside Road, Winnall is now fully let. Dunford's Garage, a well-regarded local business, has taken the final unit, joining a thriving community of enterprises at the Gentian House site.

Dunford's Garage has relocated from Humphrey's Farm in Twyford to expand its operations. The move enables the company to offer MOT testing alongside its existing servicing and diagnostic work. They join Könings Detailing, a specialist car detailing service that has operated from Block A since its completion in September 2023.

Gentian Planning Director Aiden Murray welcomed the new tenant: "We're delighted to see this last unit occupied and to welcome Dunford's Garage to our Gentian House site. We are proud to support local businesses by providing modern, high-quality spaces where they can grow and thrive."

Wayne Dunford, owner of Dunford's Garage, shared his excitement about the move: "Our new location marks an important step forward for the business. With the additional space and modern facilities, we're able to expand our offering and better serve our customers. In fact, we're actively looking to recruit more motor technicians, so anyone interested please do get in touch."

Gentian's Moorside Road site also includes two other light industrial units, which are fully let. The University of Winchester has occupied the middle building, Block B, for three years, and bespoke gifting company Sophia Victoria Joy moved into Block C at the rear of the site in early 2024. These updated spaces continue to attract established local businesses looking for flexible, well-located premises.

Block A at the entrance of the Gentian House site is a standout example of modern commercial design, featuring an EPC A+ rating and offering energy-efficient facilities for its tenants. Its success reflects the ongoing demand for versatile, high-quality spaces that support the needs of local businesses.
