Gentian aims to positively impact people’s lives. As a commitment to this, they have announced financial support for three local charities. Each charity will receive £3,000 per year for the next two years from Gentian.
The charities were chosen because of the invaluable services they provide to the Winchester community. Winchester Young Carers’ improves the lives of children and young people with caring responsibilities. Move Momentum believes dance is for everyone. It provides classes that are accessible, inclusive and affordable for everyone.
Gentian hopes the money can cover some of the core costs of the charities. Enabling the charities to deliver support to more people in Winchester.
The company has an ongoing commitment to supporting local community groups. Gentian has been a sponsor of Winchester Rugby Football Club for the past seven years. They have also previously sponsored Hampshire Pride.
Managing Director of Gentian, Nick Ekins said: "Following our significant investment in Winchester's High Street, we wanted to ensure we also gave back to the local community. We hope our financial support will enable these charities to continue their vital work for people in Winchester.”
